The Price Generator
In the tyre business, it is important for you as a supplier to get your price lists distributed. The business has tried for many years to agree on a standard for publication of electronic price lists. The Price Generator - a programme used to produce electronic price lists - is the solution to this problem, as it doesn't limit the supplier to one computer system, but is a flexible and powerful tool with great possibility of reaching all retailers.
The price lists can be generated in two formats, DackData or Xml. The DackData format is the one that the hundreds of garages using DackData can import straight into their sales system, and which also manages pictures of e.g. tyres and rims.
The price lists can also be exported as Xml-files for importation into other sales systems than DackData.
How does the programme work?
The Price Generator is a web based programme, where you as a supplier log on to the Compilator web site. The Price Generator asks you what fields are used for name, dimension etc based on your Excel file, and can then import prices and articles regardless of what format you have selected for your standard price list. You can also upload pictures of the articles, which are shown in DackData when the shop assistant does a search for tyres and rims. .
The Price Generator performs a series of controls to check e.g. if there are doubles in the list or if any article numbers have changed. Price lists can also be uploaded for publication on a particular date.
Within two hours of a new price list being available, an e-mail has been sent to those customers who subscribe to Compilator news. The price lists are available to all customers with a Compilator subscription, regardless of whether they use DackData or another system.

There are two versions of the Price Generator. A Lite version for those who only want to download price lists, and a Pro version for those who both want to upload and download price lists.
What suppliers are using the Price Generator today?
The majority of Swedish tyre and rim suppliers produce their price lists in the DackData format.
